Let’s band together and support Melbourne Studios through lockdown

by | Jul 15, 2020 | Pole Studios | 0 comments

Lockdown SUCKED for most of us. But somehow, we made it through. For many of us (myself included) online pole studios played a big role in keeping us sane when we weren’t allowed out.

But however hard lockdown is on us as individuals, I guarantee it’s MUCH harder for small business owners, and studio owners were hit particularly hard. They had to completely change their business models in order to make it through the first lockdown, and I know for a fact that not all studios survived.

I can only imagine the level of devastation Melbourne studio owners are feeling at having to close their doors a mere 2.5 weeks after being allowed to reopen (and the level of worry Sydney studio owners must be feeling as the numbers here in NSW start to creep up).

So I have a suggestion.

I’d like to create a movement that sees the Australian Pole Community come together in some way to support these studios.

Here’s what I suggest. I’d love to see as many of us as possible embrace some online training. Check out some Melbourne Studios, and if you see something that looks interesting, why not book an online class? If you don’t have a home pole, there are plenty of stretching, floor work, handstand conditioning and other non-pole classes on the timetables. Have a home pole? Then find an opportunity to learn a new skill, with a new instructor from a Melbourne-based Studio.

If everyone was able to take a class or two at these studios, I can almost guarantee it would make a difference in the lives of the Studio Owners who are doing it tough right now.

In order to make it as easy as possible for you to find a studio to support, I’ve linked every studio that I’m aware of that is running online classes throughout lockdown 2.0 below. Are you a pole studio owner, your studio is currently locked down, and you’re not in the list below? Hit me up and I’ll happily add you.

If you decide to book a class with one of these studios, drop a comment below and let me know which studio you’ll be supporting. If you love the class, make sure you leave a review for that studio on their Australian Pole Directory listing.

Let’s all do our bit to keep pole studios thriving through lockdown!
